The Charleston Town Center TeenBoard began in 1984, inviting young people from the Kanawha Valley to serve in a volunteer capacity for a one-year term as goodwill ambassadors for the mall. Through marketing opportunities, students enhance personal development and accumulate many community service hours, often required by schools. TeenBoard members have the opportunity to experience retail operations, learn to work with the public, participate in advertising, public relations and marketing events, enjoy fashion modeling activities, and much more. Since that first TeenBoard in 1984, over 1,000 CTC TeenBoard members have benefited from this unique opportunity.

TeenBoard and JuniorBoard members participate in CTC's Largest Salad Bar as part of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's, The Greatest Show on Earth, Circus Fit Program!

TeenBoard and JuniorBoard members collected 500 pounds of plastic water bottles for recycling as part of CTC's 2008 Plastic Water Bottle Challenge!

Students currently going into the 9th grade through 12th grade are eligible to audition. Interested students should plan to attend auditions on one of the two nights listed below. Students will complete an application form at the audition, talk with a panel of judges, and walk on the stage. Students do not need to bring photographs. No portfolios, please. Modeling experience is not required.
Students will be selected based on their application information, personality, availability and interest. We are not looking for the most popular student, the most attractive or the smartest. We are looking for the student who has yet to find their niche, can greatly benefit from this experience, and who has the time and desire to commit for a one-year term of volunteer service to Charleston Town Center.
Now we extend a similar opportunity to juniors. Charleston Town Center presents the JuniorBoard for students in 6th through 8th grades in area middle and junior high schools. The JuniorBoard will offer supervised activities in which students learn to work with the public, build self-confidence, enjoy modeling opportunities and participate in mall special events. Students will serve in a volunteer capacity for a one-year term as junior goodwill ambassadors for the mall.
